Born in 1850, Annie Armstrong became a Christian at the age of 20 and began a lifelong journey of mission services. Her heartbeat was for the work of the missionaries serving the needs of those in her community and those far from her. She did all she could - from letter writing to personal visits - to gather support for their ministries. The Annie Armstrong Easter Offering and prayers of Southern Baptists support the 5,200 North American Board missionaries throughout the United States and Canada who are sharing the good news of Jesus Christ.

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD
In 2005, Calvary Baptist filled 360 shoe boxes with toys, school supplies and hygiene items for needy children throughout the world to be distributed by Operation Christmas Child. OCC is a ministry of the missions organization, Samaritan's Purse. Calvary also provided $1800 to help with the cost of shipping and placing Christian literature in children's own languages in each box.
For several years the OCC mission project has been a joint effort by our church family. However, in 2006, each family is being asked to be responsible for filling their own box/boxes and provide the $5.00 shipping cost for each.
